Join the Solar Partnership at its next meeting scheduled for Thursday, September 22nd at 2:30 at PAG's offices at 1 E. Broadway, Santa Rita Room on the 4th floor. 

The Southern Arizona Regional Solar Partnership is a cooperative effort to focus attention on southern Arizona's natural opportunities for solar power generation and utilization. There are always great speakers and you will learn a lot about solar!

E.ON Climate & Renewables North America has signed an agreement with Arizona utility Tucson Electric Power (TEP) to provide frequency response and voltage control from a grid-scale, 10 MW storage facility with a 2 MW solar array.  E.ON is working with Greensmith Energy to design and integrate the Iron Horse Battery Energy Storage Project that is slated to be located adjacent to the University of Arizona Science and Technology Park southeast of Tucson.

Since the Solar Investment Tax Credit was extended last year and San Diego announced that it planned to be 100 percent renewable over the next 20 years, solar developers are locking down viable land parcels in Arizona for future solar development.  Much of the available public land is a good fit for solar development.
